MedX Osteopathy
Osteopathy

At MedX, we bring you modern Osteopathy, which combines research-based Exercise rehabilitation programs and excellence in Physical Therapies.  We combine these applications for the ultimate patient experience, aimed at optimising the recovery and rehabilitation of each individual.

Our rehab protocols are designed for all acute and chronic sporting injuries, ergonomic and work related injuries, posture-related pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, all musculoskeletal injuries including back pain, neck pain, headaches, strains, sprains, pains and more!  We support our patients with a combination of the following applications:

Initial Session (Approx 45min)

Your initial session involves a thorough musculoskeletal assessment of your injury (orthopedic, neurological, range of motion, strength testing etc) to arrive at a specific diagnosis.  The session also includes a thorough History Taking and a discussion around your injury/injuries, medical conditions, currently level of activity, goals, medications, limitations etc.   Please bring any/all relevant Doctor referrals, Imaging Reports and any other information which may be relevant to your rehabilitation.      A clear explanation of your injury will be provided prior to commencing the physical therapy and prescription of exercise rehab.  Your initial session will involve a combination of physical therapy applications appropriate to your injury, guidance around activity/return to activity and also prescribed exercises for home rehabilitation.   Please allow 45min for your initial session.

Subsequent Session (Approx 40min)

Your subsequent session will involve a brief update and re-assessment of your injury and progress made to date.  Further physical therapy applications and refined exercise rehab and advice will be prescribed.  A combination of physical therapy applications may be used during your session (Low Level Laser, Shockwave, Soft Tissue Mobilisation, Stretching, Manipulation, Dry Needling, Myofascial Cupping, Sports Taping etc).   Your Osteopath will discuss each of these applications and provide a clear explanation of the science, mechanism, research behind the application and how it will benefit you and your injury.  Please allow 40min for your subsequent sessions.

I was skeptical about anything really getting results for my lower back condition until I tried MedX. The combination of exercises on the MedX equipment and the osteo sessions with Tracey really got me out of pain fast. I highly recommend.
